Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Rise On Fresh Bets

New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose by 15 paise to Rs 239.05 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased by 15 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 239.05 per kg in 4,378 lots.
Copper futures decline on weak cues
Copper futures on Wednesday marginally slipped to Rs 863.90 per kilogram as participants re-duced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. On the Multi Commodity Ex-change, copper contracts for June delivery marginally eased by 10 paise or 0.01 per cent to Rs 863.90 per kilogram in a business turnover of 6,467 lots.
Zinc futures fall on low demand
Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.35 per cent to Rs 255.95 per kilogram in futures trade as spec-ulators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower by 90 paise or 0.35 per cent at Rs 255.95 per kg in 2,526 lots.
